Let’s further discuss these all important LIGHTS.

Of course a RED light is on the PORT side and a GREEN light is on the STARBOARD side. When a vessel is less than 20 meters these two lights can be combined on the fore and aft centerline of the vessel.

The STERN light should be placed as close to the stern as possible.

TOWING lights are always YELLOW.

When a vessel has an ALL-ROUND light it must show in an unbroken one over all 360°.

Finally a FLASHING light has to be flashing at regular intervals at a frequency of 120 flashes per MINUTE.
